Winter Concerts Thrill Audiences

On December 14th and 15th Memorial and Mahoney Middle Schools respectively put on the annual Winter Concerts. The Jazz Bands started the shows followed by the Chorus, 6th Grade, 7th Grade and 8th Grade bands. It was a pleasure to sit and enjoy both of these performances. From the lively Jazz numbers to the whimsical parody "Cold And Fugue Season" sung the by the Choruses to the seasonal music performed by the bands it was truly incredible to listen to these kids play.

The High School Choruses held their "Songs Of The Season" performance on December 8th. The Mixed Chorus led off the concert followed by the Chambers Singers and The Notables. The Notable are a group of 16 with 4 singers in Soprano, Alto, Baritone and Bass each. The music performed ranged the gospel "Gonna Rise Up Singin'" to the seasonal "Carol of the Bells" to the Beatles contemporary hit "If I Fell". It was a wonderful hour of music to hear.
