Booster Meeting Very Productive

September 7th was the first general meeting for the South Portland Music Boosters. Attendance was great with more than 40 parents and music staff attending. The highlight of the meeting was the approval of expenditures totaling $21,700.85!!!! As usual, every Budget Request from our Music Educators was approved.

The South Portland Music Boosters are proud to contribute the following to our students:

Colorguard Uniforms, Flags and Supplies          $4,489.95

Marching Band instruments, trip and expenses     $9,745.90

Equipment repairs and maintenance                  $600.00

2 - Clavinovas for the High School Piano Lab     $3,000.00

Uniforms for Chamber Singers                       $170.00

Marching Band Picnic                               $500.00

Jackets for new Marching Band Students (20)      $1,720.00

Miscellaneous                                    $1,475.00

What a thrill it is to be able to contribute such a large amount the the music education of our students! We will be meeting 4 more times this year and reviewing budget requests each time.
