Jazz Combo places 4th at Berklee Jazz Festival

The South Portland HS Jazz Combo   and Jazz Ensemble competed March 6th in the Berklee Jazz Festival in Boston, Mass. The Jazz Combo placed 4th (honorable mention) in it's class of 20, with a score of 90. This marks the first time an SPHS combo has placed in this event. The Ensemble, while finishing out of the top 4, played well with an average score of 82.

Seniors Adam Kundishora and Greg Baschkopf received recognition for their outstanding playing during the day. Adam was also recognized at night as one of 4 outstanding players in the division (roughly 400 students!).

South Portland HS was also recognized with a plaque for it's 20th year of participation at the Festival.
