South Portland High had 8 students accepted, 2 musicians and 6 members of the Chamber Singers. The students traveled to Orono and rehearsed all day Thursday and Friday. They performance they gave on Saturday was absolutely superb! It was hard to believe that these were High School students.

The 5th Grade All-City Band and Chorus Concert entertained a packed house in the South Portland Auditorium on May 26th. The performance opened with the combined band from all schools playing pieces as a group and in sections under the direction of John Furman. The choruses from the 5 elementary schools took the stage when the band finished. The Skillin Chorus directed by Bev Hosic, Dyer and Marsh Chorus directed by Nancy Curran and Kaler and Small Chorus directed by Rosemary Osann sang many serious and lighthearted songs.
