SP MIDDLE SCHOOL JAZZ BANDS SCORE BIG IN STATE FINALS!

Both Mahoney MS and Memorial MS Jazz bands performed at the MMEA Middle School State Jazz Festival held Saturday, March 22 at Westbrook HS. Both schools compete in Division 2 (10 schools) Our Mahoney students, with Sandy Barry as Director, earned a Gold Plaque (awarded for a performance earning 88+ points). Our Memorial students, with Jean Quinn as Director, earned a Gold Plaque and placed 2nd overall. Old Town finished 1st. Memorial has won 2nd place 2 years in a row.

Congratulations to our wonderful musicians from Mahoney and Memorial! We are very proud of you.
